Everyday applications and engineering problems are becoming increasingly complex and reliant on data. With the abundance of data that is collected in present-day systems, skills in Data Science are necessary. Modern statistical learning methods allow the extraction of hidden patterns and the simplification or even automation of many tasks. My goal is to create trustworty, data-driven models with their background in mind. This this end, I apply statistical knowlegde to create rostust and state-of-the-art algorithms.
